Loretta's Last Call - July 8th, 2024

The Bird Brains (above) cooking up the finest country north of the Mason Dixon.

Bought two twelve packs and a tank of gas with it, no scrimmage, just business for PMG and the fellas. Big night post 4th of July weekend and the birds showed up to their most ligit gig of the year. Known for their jam spin, TBB turned a new chapter diving their talons into a bucket of chicken pickin, Rollin Stone lickin, milli pouch mixin, southern livin with tunes like Sweet Home Alabama, When It Rains It Pours, Revival (the extended cut), and many more classics. Their most acoustic set yet sponsored by Guitar Center return policies and fried pickles, the flock powered through a set that you dream of line dancing too. If you mustache any questions about the acoustic evening, one would say it was almost too acoustic; hard to handle. Was it a warmup to the Jake Little and Theresa Marano crossover episode on the forever channel? We all saw the ever changing setlist in realtime for EOJuly, but who could take their eye, off the Aura of the man behind the mask. Some thought it was Zach Bryan, but there is absolutely no way he sweats that much. On an 88 degree day, a bald eagle, potentially not metaphorically, delivered a crowd favorite performance and graced TBB with another electric showing. We thank whoever is behind the mask for keeping Landsdowne safe. It's not about the money, it's about sending a message... is what TBB heard post performance. However, they enjoyed an ever growing tab and are blessed to have a room full of hungry law dads willing to perform collections. Truly was a wonderful evening for The Bird Brains kicking off the week for Daryl Hall and Elvis Costello. It was almost free advertising for the blokes; the majors just don't understand boots on the grounds these days. Much love to all who came out and supported and a huge thanks to Loretta's for having us. Will the fans see more country from Boston's future popstar Patty the Baddy? I sure hope so with that performance. Sheesh. Pce & Love. See you at The Middle East America.

Yours Truly,

The Bird Brains
