Midway Cafe Rd 3 - March 23rd, 2024

The Bird Brains (Above) steezing up the Midway Cafe on a Saturday night.

1, 2, 3, and to the floor go The Bird Brains on Saturday night at the Midway Cafe. March Madness had the people going Bazaar and got just the background they needed to enjoy an evening with the flock. A big thanks to the crowd, as we know they took horse and buggies, Uber Pools, Lime scooters, well trained great danes, jungle vines, large boulders that are not just boulders, they are rocks, cross country ski tracks, stilts, pogo-sticks equipped with shoes, to make it out to the show of a time in their life, not a lifetime. In the pouring rain, they huddled around a race to 10 monely-line to dress their empty pockets, then quickly give it all up to Kenny the legendary bartender who served his lasts to the tunes of Arkansas, Take Me to the River, and other hits by the gracious avians. We thank Kenny for his dedicated support of live music and the spirits that inhabit the good times that come with it.

The show however, was starting off hot, or shall we say too loud (Mr. Magzy in green can't hear very well), but the gents brought forth a grungy energy with shall we say, a side of milk and cookies during this busy season. Slammin Sammy sporting a new Gibson Les Paul that he picked up (left) and testing its tonal properties against the dedication of those who dare show face south of the Charles. Into the blood again, and for a third time, the Bird Brains played Midway and may have the description of their performance all encompassing. St. Patrick did once again impress a sound guy, and nobody still does know if Jake the Rake can grow his beard back by the end of summer. Looming thoughts. Gearing up for the biggest shows of the year, they plug in Union Tavern as their confidence builder to the big dance. Are you with us? Stay tuned for more bird and absolutely still, no brain. See you soon.

All the Best,

The Bird Brains
