Sam Badeau - March 8th, 2023

Updated: Apr 8, 2023

Que the music, steady the drum roll, because it only took one 2022 Boston College tailgate, please welcome our newest guitar player in a long overdue introduction, Sam Badeau! A RI native, a BC alumni, a staple in the industry, a wiz amongst the locals, some may even say the reincarnation of Jerry Garcia. Wielding his sunburst Stratocaster and chicken pickin' like a farm boy in a rooster showdown, this man has the chops, this man, has the sauce. Or might I say, he puts the jam in the jam band sandwich. Don't cringe, just let this statement live in your head rent free, because the legend of the rent, is way hardcore.

More context about Sam - he enjoys the Grateful Dead, Goose, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc., an avid skiier, a skilled golfsman, and a Providence Friars fan that resonates with much of our flock. He has a right eye stigmatism, dislikes waking up early on Sundays, and makes computers talk for a living. In the photo above, you can see that he enjoys wearing white New Balance from time to time, most notably a shoe for men with a strong ability to grill meats. As you can tell this guy likes both indoors, and outdoors. That's just a bird eye view of this weapon for your enjoyment.

Further Update that must be noted:

It's not always easy for a family of mother birds to watch one of their hatchlings spread their wings. John Fitzgerald, beloved avian to the covey, flew the nest this past September to the great beyond. San Diego to be more precise. He will be missed and we thank him for long hours of hard work and dedication to the craft. With a sense of no direction, the remaining fowl had found themselves at the crossroads of a treacherous task. Filling not only the lead singing role of Fitz Fitzgerald, but having to find a new guitar player with gusto, heart, and integrity, posed quite the challenge for their long winter. They prevailed with Mr. Libadeau.

For the forseeable future, not that there is any other way to see the future, digging deep, Andy Romagna will be doing his best impersonation of Ann Wilson on lead vocal while still retaining his guitar duties. Not only did the birds do some shuffling, but they went from rags to riches with their success moving into B16, a new nest at SUM STUDIO'S in music cities own, Malden, Massachusetts. Welcome Sam to the covey with open arms as the birds gear up for their annual summer tour of backyards and small clubs. Stay fly, stay ready, stay tuned, the birds are back in town.
