The Bird Brains (Above) - flying high at the Cantab Underground at their sold out show.
Apparently, they occasionally make them as they used to as the four birds soured into flight and are now selling tickets to their shows!? CHHHHH.. this is your captain speaking, if you look out the window of the aircraft, you will see 4 avians in disbelief of the generosity of their covey. Guess you don't have to fly south for the winter, you just have to rent an awesome club out and hunker down with your friends to a few cold ones and maybe even mix in a fruit salad if you lose your bassist during the break. A night to remember playing the hits and even some new tunes that went superbly to the birds own surprise such as Detroit Rock City, Gold on the Ceiling, & Take Me Out. Not to mention, Better Than Revenge as I write this in the wake of a Taylor Swift Superbowl. However you feel about that, it doesn't matter, because the birds put that song down like a hot bowl of gravy without mama's oven mitts for safety. What a dumb saying I just made up, but we are running on fumes and I like it, so get over it.
Other than cutting out some of the setlist and fans waking up in bathtubs, all things went great for the brains. This was a Jordan Flu game to remember for Sam LiBadeau as he rocked the house on classic solo's over Althea, Needle & The Spoon, and the oh so famous cover of I Shot the Sheriff with the wild support of Yeager Bombs per new usual. If there is one thing for certain, you can find out where the wild things are if you rent out the Cantab Underground and play the pop punk that was intended for its location. Next stop, also the Cantab Underground lol. Choo choo, all aboard the Bird Brains express as they tag along to a bill filled with the Unruly Few, and Cassidy Deadwater. Don't bet against the birds this year and we'll see you next time. 2024 is off to a hot start.
