The Bird Brains on the big stage - nothing better for the fans then some old rockin' covers at an awesome grunge spot in Union Square, Somerville. It truly was one of these nights, starting with El Potro, to finishing with Pearl Jam and Otis Street.

While it may be the last set of the Flock & Roll summer tour, the band is far from finished. Amassing a strong following brought forth a great turnout for a Tuesday night in July, with covers that you know and love by The Eagles, RHCP, etc. (as if they would play anything else). The Birds truly became creatures of the night with hints of their second personality, The Angels of Darkness really showing its colors on songs like the crowd pleaser Zombie. Headlining after Crushed Vinyl and Shotgun Waltz was no easy task, but with a true blessing from the gods of rock, they were able to fight off not only sweat monsters, but blinding bright lights as well.

All in all, no matter the lineup, The Bird Brains will continue to rock the local club scene, the not so local club scene, maybe even the world. Nothing can stop them as they brought enough energy and enough focus to keep a NY PD office in line. Chalking this one up to hard work, cotton candy, and daddy long legs.
