The Marano's Private Party - July 16th, 2022

(Above) Pre rain-delay soundcheck madness from the scorching hot Bird Brains in the Hamptons

Well, another gig in the books for The Bird Brains. A birthday retreat in Southampton, NY treated by Jakey's folks, brought upon a show that faced all of the elements. The Brains never knew just how electrifying they were until their high voltage coursed through the hands of Jake "The Rake" Marano. What I'm trying to say is that apparently, The Bird Brains are so high voltage, that they not only shut down Cisco Brewing, but they went ahead and shocked themselves beyond belief by not wearing rubber soles at this Hamptons soiree. Funny that birds would have a problem being grounded.

Not only did the Birds have a swell performance, but they had a guest appearance from Colin Van Whit Whit on guitar. Erase Me being the number, the Brains broke into a new genre with a lickety split rap from Mr. Fitz to accompany Mr. Whit in what was truly generational wealth in music.

The Bird Brains played deep into the evening with the likes of "One of These Nights" and a new crowd pleaser, "Zombie" by the Cranberries that shook the deck so hard that Marc Marano had to reevaluate structural integrity of his property. The drinks flowed and with one final flight into the Rolling Stones "Sympathy for the Devil", it yielded a chant for "Free Bird" that was ignored with a dive into the Marano pool. No frogs in sight this time either. Successful trip for the crew. Next up, The Jungle. Hope you know where you are.
