The Middle East - July 31, 2024

TBB (above) with a jam spin on Wednesday Night @ The Middle East Nightclub in Cambridge, MA.

Alexa, play Levels by Avicii because the boys are on the way up! Can music solve the crisis in the Middle East? Not sure, but on this night it did. Tickets here, get ya popcorn, donate your change to Central Sq. here, play a solo for longer than you should have here. You can order that all at a Bird Brains show guaranteed, or your money back. With the usual songs such as Sheriff, Witchy, Shakedown, they pulled out the big guns opening up for two tremendously talented bands in Cabin Fever & Heart Park. Massive thanks to those bands for finding the Birds and putting them on to their biggest showcase yet. No Stage Diving allowed, and not to worry, Birkenstocks don't have a Reebok pump in the side, just thick soles for growling low end. Bringing the jungle to the desert, Dom Lasagna pulled up in the tropical Bezos' and nearly became a guitarist for Spongebob's very own hit "The Fool Who Ripped His Pants". Things were tight and things were light.

This could be the last gig for TBB until the winter months with the brains of the band to test his head, his mind, and his brain too, at Harvard University. His rhythm hypnotic, his timing, impeccable, his pockets, too deep. They let the Birds play underground upstairs on this fine Wednesday night and it truly was a Sammy reveal. Big blazing notes to the sound his Evil Ways, mixed with a splash of Mixolydian rained supreme through suds of chamomile tea and hot, tasty Guinness. They say the world can be your oyster, but you can't hate outside the club, if you cant even get in. Another notch in the cap for TBB. Can't wait to see what the future holds. They will see you November 16th with their freshest yet.

Yours Truly,

The Bird Brains
